Witnesses said at least two people were killed and several wounded in a huge blast in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday.

The police said the explosion took place near ex-control Afgoye junction in Mogadishu when a suicide bomber struck in front of a police station.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing in the capital, but police blamed Al-Shabaab for the attack.
