KUNYO BARROW [SMN] – Al-Shabaab militants have executed six people in a public area in Kunya Barrow district in the Lower Shabelle region, whom they accused of spying.
The six people were all men who the group said were spies for the United States and Somali government intelligence agencies and were sent to gather information.
In the square where the six people were shot were hundreds of people living in the area of Kuunyo Barow, who watched the execution.
The men were identified as Dhikisow, Abdalla Nunow Abdulqadir, Mohammad Sheikhey barrow, and Hassan Omar Murjaan known as (Hassan Garre).
Al-Shabaab has carried out the execution of this kind in most of the areas under its control, against people it accuses of being spies for Somalia, the United States, Kenya, and the UK.
