GENEVA – The Special presidential drought Envoy of Somalia Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, attended the opening of the 113th session of the IOM Council in Switzerland.
The session will focus on climate change and food security.
The issue of displacement is also discussed in the meeting, which has a great impact on the Somali country that has been affected by the drought.
Warsame delivered Somalia’s statement on the impacts of climate change on food security and displacement at the opening of the IOM Council in Geneva.
“Today [Tuesday] at the opening of the council in Geneva, I delivered Somalia’s statement on the impacts of climate change on food security & displacement,” he added,
He appealed for Int’l support to build resilience for our communities to adapt to climate shocks and their fallout.
