Farmajo condoles over Ex-Puntland VP death

The President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has sent his condolences to the family and friends of the former Vice President of Puntland General Abdisamad Ali Shire who passed away in Mogadishu.

The President pointed out that the late Abdisamad Ali Shire played a significant role in the process of Somalia’s statehood and the formation of the Puntland State. He was one of the officers in the Somali National Army during the federal government, serving as the Commander of the Puntland Darawish Forces and the third Vice President of the Puntland State of Somalia.

“The late Abdisamad Ali Shire was a Somali elder who was instrumental in governing and restoring the country. I pray to God to make Janatul Firdaus his home and give us patience and faith. ”

Farmajo extended his sincere condolences to the President of the Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Dani, the Vice President, Ahmed Elmi Osman, the people of Puntland, and in particular to the family and friends of the deceased.
