DHUSAMAREB [SMN] – Lawmakers in Galmudug State elected the first six senators, following Jubaland, Southwest, and Puntland states, which selected four, five, and eleven senators since an early month.
Two of the six seats were explicitly allocated to women to achieve the 30% quota in parliamentary elections.

Duniya Mohamed Ali
Galmudug State must still elect two more senators to fill its Upper House seats.
