Lower House speaker arrives in Hudur, Somalia

HUDUR [SMN] – The Speaker of the Lower House chamber of parliament Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nor (Madobe) was welcomed today in Hudur, the capital of Bokool Region.

The Acting President received a warm welcome at the airport from Bokool region’s governor, the officials of the Hudur district administration, and cheering residents.

The house speaker was briefed on the security and humanitarian situation in the Bakool region and the surrounding areas under Southwest State control.

The officials said that this region has been isolated for years and the people of the area are not getting enough aid due to the Al-Shabaab blockade on the districts.

Madobe praised the local administration and the people of Hudur town for refusing to heed Al-Shabaab orders and preparing to liberate themselves from the group.
