Mahad Salad appoints new leadership of NISA’s unit in Gedo

MOGADISHU [SMN] – The director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency [NISA] appointed new leadership of the spy in Gedo region near the Kenya border.

 

Gen Jamal Hassan Sareey becomes the new NISA’s Gedo head, according to a statement from Mahad Salad, the country’s intelligence chief.

Also, Mohamed Abdirahman Yaqul (Sandhere) has been appointed as the Deputy Commander of Nisa in the Region

This nomination comes just a week after the killing of Commander Baakal Kooke.

Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the killing of the late Kooke.
