Bank provides free microfinance to small businesses in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU [SMN] – Salaam Somali Bank continues to provide free microfinance to small businesses in the Horn of Africa country as part of efforts to improve the economy.

On Wednesday, 12 January 2022, the Bank’s main headquarters in Mogadishu’s Bakara market has provided free microfinance to the traders to help improve their businesses.

Some of the beneficiaries of the free microfinance said they are greatly thankful to the leading Salaam Somali Bank for the timely support that will surely uplift them.

Salaam Somali Bank has gained praise for its commitment to improving Somali people’s lives through investment and free microfinance fund created to assist local traders.

In addition, the bank based in Mogadishu also supports entrepreneurs by providing early stage and growth financing with active support for special youth and women entrepreneurs.

The fund dubbed Qardu Hassan was launched with an aim to empower Somali entrepreneurs and small businesses in all regions of the country, according to the bank.
