MOGADISHU [SMN] – An explosion in the central Bardale district of the Bay region.
The bomb struck a market shortly afternoon, killing at least seven people and injuring 10 others, including soldiers and civilians.
Security forces from the Southwestern arrived at the scene of the blast and carried out an operation but no arrest was made.
Al-Shabaab often conducts attacks in the Bay and Bakol regions of southern Somalia in an effort to regain control of areas under the regional state of Southwest.
