Somali Govt says election talks failed

The government of Somalia announced Wednesday that the latest round of the talks between president Farmajo and leaders of the Federal States collapsed in the last minute.

Speaking to the reporters in Mogadishu, information minister Osman Dubbe has accused Jubaland and Puntland states leaders of being behind the failure as rejecting Baidoa tencnical committee recommendations.

The failure rises fears that the country could fall into a new circle of political crisis.
