Somali president attends China-Arab summit in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH [SMN] – The President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The office of the president said that Mohamud will participate in the China-Arab summit in Riyadh which establishes a historic and new phase of cooperation.

While in Saudi Arabia, the Somali president will hold meetings with the King of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman, and other leaders, according to the sources.

Mohamud’s address will feature security, humanitarianism, and debt relief, as well as the war on Al-Shabaab at the China-Arab summit in Riyadh which kicked off on Friday.

The China-Arab summit comes at a time of deteriorating relations between Washington and Riyadh.
