Somali president disbands two key national-level commissions


MOGADISHU [SMN] – Hassan Sheikh Mohamud announced on Sunday that he disbanded the Judicial Service Commission, and the Anti-Corruption Commissions.


The decision was made in a Presidential decree in which the President instructed the cabinet to form their replacements in accordance with Article 71 of the draft constitution.

The President nullified all previous work by the two dissolved commissions which were set up during Farmajo’s tenure in office.

This Presidential Decree takes effect today and it was broadcasted through the state media.
