Somalia to hold National Consultative Conference on Elections

Somali’s Prime Minister Mohamed Roble has on Wednesday stated that they are fully prepared for the National Consultative Conference on the completion of the Federal Elections.

The conference will be held Thursday, May 20.

“I am optimistic that it commences smoothly and ends satisfactorily so that the country goes to transparent and mutually agreed upon elections.

I am committed to taking all facilitative measures that will lead to the success of this conference.” Roble said.

He also thanked all political leaders and the people of Somalia for their support.

Various leaders are already in Mogadishu ahead of the conference, including the President of Galmudug state of Somalia Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor. 

Other Federal Member States Presidents are expected to arrive early on Thursday.
