Suspected KDF jets bomb Al-Shabaab-controlled areas

GARBAHAREY – Suspected Kenyan warplanes have bombed several rural areas in the Gedo region near the Somali-Kenyan border in the past 24 hours.

The air raids were reported to have taken place in El-Adde and Buusaar which are under the control of Al-Shabaab, according to the local residents.

To date, the exact number of casualties is not yet known, and no details have been released about the shelling by Gedo regional administration.

Kenya is one of the countries involved in the AU mission fighting al-Shabaab and it has been conducting air strikes in southern Somalia, particularly in the Juba and Gedo regions.
