Strengthening Cooperation: Somali Minister of Public Works Meets with UNDP Representatives

MOGADISHU, Somalia – On May 12, 2024, a significant meeting took place between H.E Abdisalan Abdi Ali, the Minister of Public Works of the Federal Government of Somalia, and representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

 

The UNDP delegation included Lionel Laurens, the head of the UNDP to Somalia, and his deputy, Mrs. Sophie Kemkhadze. The primary focus of the meeting was to enhance the collaboration between the UNDP and the Ministry of Public Works in the critical areas of economic infrastructure development, rebuilding efforts, and capacity building of the Ministry’s staff.
