GALKAYO, Somalia — Galmudug state President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoor Qoor, has announced the appointment of a 5-member committee to mediate in ongoing inter-clan fighting in the northern Galgaduud region.
The appointment spans various sectors, including the Ministries of Interior, Security, Finance, Religious Affairs, and Information.
The ministerial-level committee is expected to address pressing issues work towards resolving the tribal feud and bring the warring sides to the negotiating table.
The appointments come as part of a broader effort by the Galmudug administration to strengthen peace, and stability and address the needs of the region in the development.
