The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that it will contribute to the overall development of the Somali digital economy and ensure the protection of individual’s rights in the digital age.

The DPA, established to regulate the processing of personal data and promote transparency, accountability, and compliance with data protection laws, will now have a suitable environment to fulfill its responsibilities.

The construction of the new headquarters is part of the government’s broader strategy to modernize its infrastructure and improve service delivery across various sectors.

The facility is expected to be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources to support the DPA’s mission of protecting the privacy rights of Somali citizens.
