Benadir Governor Inspects Security Operations and Elasha Biyaha in Lafoole, outside Mogadishu

Mogadishu, Somalia – In a recent visit to the Lafoole area of Garasbaley District, Banadir Governor Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) inspected ongoing security operations on the outskirts of the capital, Mogadishu.

 

The overnight visit by Madaale along with several officials comes amidst heightened security measures aimed at curbing the activities of Al-Shabaab on the outskirts of Mogadishu.

During the inspection, the Mayor commended the efforts of the Security Department in protecting the lives and property of Somali citizens. He highlighted the importance of these security operations in preventing Al-Shabaab from infiltrating and hiding within the community, thereby safeguarding the capital city.

The delegation included high-ranking officials such as the Deputy Commissioner of Security and Politics of Banadir Region, the Deputy Commander of the National Security and Intelligence Agency of Somalia, and the Commander of the General Division of Police in Banadir Region.

Also present were the Commander of NISA in Banadir Region, the Military Police Forces, and the Governor of Garasbaley District.

The visit underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens and maintaining stability in the region.

The inspection of water wells also highlights the importance of access to clean water in the area, which is vital for the well-being of the local population.
