RABAT, Morocco — Dr. Elmi Mohamud Nur, Minister of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing of the Federal Government of Somalia, is leading a Somali delegation at the 3rd Arab Land Conference in Rabat, Morocco.
The event, which brings together Ministers of Public Works and Land from Arab League countries, is focused on innovation and modernization in land management. This year’s discussions will also address challenges related to housing and land disputes.
In his opening remarks, Minister Dr. Elmi highlighted the need for a land management framework that incorporates modern technology and knowledge. He called for sustainable solutions to resolve land disputes, improve urban development, and refine housing policies, emphasizing their importance to the future of Somalia and other Arab nations.
The two-day conference features ministers from across the Arab world, as well as representatives from the United Nations, World Bank, and the Arab League. The gathering provides a platform for sharing knowledge on critical issues in land management, housing, and urban planning.
