MOGADISHU – Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, has appointed two senior officials to oversee critical roles in the country’s security and administrative sectors.
Abdinasir Mahmoud Gurey has been named General Manager for Administration and Security at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport, the country’s main international gateway.
The role entails responsibility for managing airport operations related to safety, security, and administrative coordination in one of Somalia’s most strategic locations.
In addition, Abdalla Hassan Ali was appointed Deputy Director General of the National Tubsan Centre, a key institution operating under the Office of the Prime Minister.
The centre plays a vital role in national security and coordination among various government agencies.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre praised both officials for their professional expertise and experience, stating that their appointments would strengthen the government’s efforts to enhance security and administrative efficiency in crucial national institutions.
The appointments come amid ongoing efforts by Somalia’s federal government to improve security infrastructure and governance across key public sectors.
