ALGIERS, Algeria — Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, the special envoy of Somalia’s president and the country’s education minister, who delivered a message from President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, officials said.
The Somali delegation was accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Balcad and Somalia’s ambassador to Algeria, Yusuf Jeego.
Algerian officials attending the meeting included Boualem Boualem, director of the cabinet at the presidency, Amar Abba, presidential adviser for diplomatic affairs, and Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, Algeria’s national education minister.
The talks focused on bilateral relations and cooperation, including in the education sector, as Somalia and Algeria seek to strengthen diplomatic ties.
