ANTALYA — Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of Somalia, took part in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, where global leaders, diplomats and political figures gathered to discuss international challenges and the role of modern diplomacy.
Speaking at the forum, Mohamud emphasized the importance of diplomacy in building trust, strengthening partnerships and promoting global stability. He said the world urgently needs meaningful dialogue and genuine cooperation to address security, development and peace-related challenges.
The Somali president also underscored Somalia’s active engagement on the international stage, particularly its non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council.
He reaffirmed Mogadishu’s commitment to supporting multilateral diplomacy, safeguarding international peace and security, and enhancing global cooperation.
Mohamud noted that Somalia seeks to contribute constructively to diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving global crises, stressing that collaborative approaches remain essential in addressing evolving international issues.
