MOGADISHU, Somalia — Four officers from the Somali Police Force have graduated from the Academy of Management under Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, earning master’s degrees in public administration, Somali authorities said.
The officers specialised in general administration and strategic planning, marking what officials described as a significant academic achievement and contribution to strengthening Somalia’s security sector leadership.
The graduation ceremony was considered historic, as it marked the first time in 40 years that Somali officers have completed advanced studies at an institution in Russia, according to Somali officials.
The programme is part of efforts to enhance professional training and build institutional capacity within Somalia’s police force through international cooperation.
