BAIDOA, Somalia — South West State leader Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe) on Monday officially concluded a three-day cabinet retreat in Baidoa aimed at strengthening governance, improving public administration and enhancing service delivery.
The meeting brought together cabinet ministers and experts from the Somali National University to discuss aligning government priorities, accelerating key development programmes, improving accountability and transparency, and strengthening coordination among state institutions.
In his closing remarks, Madoobe praised cabinet members for their active participation in the discussions, saying the resolutions adopted during the retreat would serve as a roadmap for improving government performance and expanding public services across South West State.
He instructed ministries and government agencies to work collectively to implement the agreed plans, with particular emphasis on improving public services, strengthening governance, enhancing security, promoting economic growth and reinforcing accountability.
The retreat forms part of South West State’s broader efforts to improve institutional coordination, strengthen public administration and advance development programmes aimed at benefiting residents across the state.
