Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Somalia’s Mogadishu, killing and injuring many.
The official spokesperson for the ministry Haitham Abu Al-Foul affirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Somalia.
He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.
Earlier Saturday, a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint near Somalia’s presidential palace Saturday, killing eight people, police said.
“We have confirmed that eight people, most of them civilians, died and seven others wounded in the car bomb blast”, district police chief Mucawiye Ahmed Mudey told reporters.
The bombing took place within a kilometer of Villa Somalia, the presidential palace.
