At least one soldier was killed in a blast in Mogadishu, the Somali capital on Tuesday, an official said.
The explosion resulted from a landmine that was targeted at a security post near Jazeera beach and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Al-Shabaab was responsible for numerous such bombings in the country, mainly in Mogadishu.
