MOGADISHU, Somalia – A bomb explosion took place on Monday morning in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, while the government is at war with Al-Shabaab.
The blast, which was heard in some districts of Mogadishu occurred after a Surf car fitted with IED exploded at the Behani intersection and no casualties were reported at the time.
There was no loss of life as a result of the explosion in a parking lot, and the owner of the car was not inside during the incident.
The government forces arrived at the place where the car exploded and conducted a brief investigation, but they did not make any arrests for the incident.
The federal government security agencies did not issue a statement regarding the explosion which became the second insecurity act within a week.
The situation in the Shibis district is now stable, and the movement of the road and business has returned to normal, as the explosion happened in the early morning.
