KISMAYO, Somalia [SMN] – Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, FGS interior minister touched down in Kismayo, Jubaland, where he was received by Deputy President Mohamud Sayd Adan.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation is in Kismayo for the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting. In attendance will be representatives from the Federal Member States and other partners.
“The purpose of this meeting is to coordinate and unify stabilization efforts. Bringing all stakeholders together, to enable them to exchange information and resolve shared challenges” said Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.
Fiqi added that better coordinated stabilization activities will bring about better living standards for the communities and better government service delivery. It will also eliminate anti peace groups such as Al-Shabaab.
Mohamed Ibrahim Oogle, Minister of Interior, Jubaland State welcomed participants to Kismayo for the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting and thanks them for their commitment to the stabilization and recovery efforts of Somalia.
