Hirshabelle President Meets with Officials to Discuss Development

JOWHAR, Somalia — President Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlawe) of Hirshabelle State met with members of the Ministry of Interior, the Capital Authority, and the Jowhar District Council on Sunday to discuss ongoing development initiatives in Jowhar, the state’s capital.

 

The meeting focused on a government subsidy project, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Federal Government of Somalia, UNDP, UN-HABITAT, and UNICEF.

The Discussions included the enhancement of security, urban aesthetics, building maintenance, tourism promotion, and the promotion of good governance within the city.

President Hussein commended the Ministry of Interior for their significant contributions to the city’s development. “Together let’s commit to the development of the capital, soon the construction of the roads will be completed if God wills it,” he stated.

The president also emphasized accountability, instructing all parties involved in the capital’s development to ensure they fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
