Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe Praises Puntland’s Anti-ISIS Operations

KISMAYO, Somalia – Jubaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) has commended the ongoing operations against ISIS militants in Puntland, describing them as a significant step toward ensuring peace and stability in Somalia.

 

In a press release, President Madobe underscored the importance of a unified approach to combating terrorism, emphasizing that such efforts are essential for rebuilding and fostering the country’s recovery. “The fight against terror requires collective action. It is only through unity and determination that we can secure a peaceful and prosperous Somalia,” he stated.

President Madobe also congratulated Puntland’s forces for their achievements in the campaign to eradicate ISIS from the region. He highlighted the critical importance of these operations, not only for the people of Puntland but also for the Somali nation as a whole.
