KISMAYO, Somalia [SMN] – Somali troops launched an attack against Al-Shabaab base in Jubaland state as the region prepares for an all-out offensive to wipe out the militants.
The operation was carried out by the joint forces in a place where it was said that Al-Shabaab fighters were gathering in the vicinity of the airport of Dhoobley district.
There was a heavy fight between the government forces and those of Jubbaland on one side and the Al-Shabaab who were in the area of the attack.
