Somali-DRC Luncheon Highlights Investment Potential in Africa

NAIROBI, KENYA – The Somali Embassy, in partnership with the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), organized a luncheon. The event, held to explore business and investment opportunities in the DRC, attracted a vibrant group of Somali entrepreneurs eager to leverage their enterprising spirit in new markets.

 

Somali Ambassador Jibril highlighted the significance of the occasion, stating, “This gathering marks a new chapter in our economic diplomacy. We recognize the resilience and innovation of our entrepreneurs, and today, we aim to channel this energy towards mutual prosperity with our DRC partners.”

The luncheon, which drew participants from key sectors including energy, real estate, fishing, banking, and transportation, underscored the vast potential for inter-African trade. Ambassador Jibril emphasized, “The EAC is not just about geographical proximity; it’s about shared economic destiny. Today’s discussions are a testament to our commitment to unlock this potential through collaboration.”
