CAIRO, Egypt — Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi participated in the Arab League State Council inauguration, where he highlighted the organization’s firm stance against what Somalia perceives as Ethiopia’s infringement on its sovereignty.
During the event, Fiqi reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to its strong and enduring relationships with Arab states.
The discussions at the council focused on regional stability and respect for territorial integrity, with particular attention to the recent tensions between Somalia and Ethiopia over a maritime access deal signed with the breakaway region of Somaliland.
