Somali Parliament Speaker Leaves For UAE to Boost Bilateral Ties

MOGADISHU, Somalia — Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor (Madobe), Speaker of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, has begun an official visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of his Emirati counterpart, signaling a deepening of relations between the two nations.

 

Accompanying Madobe is a delegation of key parliamentary figures, including the Chairman of the Friendship Committee of the Parliament of Somalia and the UAE, and representatives to the Arab League Parliament. The visit aims to strengthen parliamentary ties and explore opportunities for mutual growth.

Speaker Madobe’s itinerary includes high-level meetings with UAE officials, commencing with a dialogue with the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council. Discussions are slated to focus on enhancing bilateral relations, addressing regional security issues, and expanding economic cooperation.

This diplomatic endeavor underscores Somalia’s commitment to fostering stability and prosperity in the region through enhanced cooperation with the UAE.
