MOGADISHU [SMN] – The Prime Minister of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has on Thursday night chaired a virtual meeting of the National Consultative Council.
The office of the PM said the talks focused on a range of issues pertaining to the election and how to expedite the House of the People’s voting process.
The Presidents of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kariye, South West, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Lafta-Gareen), Jubbaland, Ahmed Madobe, HirShabelle, Ali Abdullahi Hussein, and Benadir Governor Omar Filish were in attendance.
The leaders agreed to immediately start the election of the House of the People, and conclude next month to avoid further delays.
