The meeting was focused on speeding up operations to eliminate the Al-Shabaab group in the country and completing the withdrawal of the ATMIS forces, whose plan is to completely leave the country by the end of this year 2024.
President Hassan Sheikh urged the country’s security agencies to strengthen and implement the implementation of the arms and ammunition control process in the country.
The president also said that the success achieved in lifting the arms embargo was the foundation for the implementation of the plan to protect the weapons and weapons of the armed forces of Somalia.
The meeting of the National Security Council is coming, while some parts of the country are still carrying out operations against the Al-Shabaab group, it is worth noting that the government of Somalia is also in serious tension with Ethiopia, which has violated the unity and independence of the land. in Somalia.
