Somali President Meets Frontline Military Leaders After Surviving Bombing

Mogadishu, Somalia – President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia, currently stationed on the frontlines in the battle against terrorism, held an important meeting in the town of Moqokori with the leadership of Hirshabelle and senior military officials spearheading the country’s liberation operations.

 

The president’s visit to the frontlines came just one day after he narrowly survived a powerful bombing in Mogadishu, which was part of a terrorist attack. The explosion resulted in both casualties and property damage, but President Hassan Sheikh emerged unscathed, underscoring his resilience and determination to continue working towards the nation’s liberation.

During the meeting, the president spoke with the Vice President of Hirshabelle and the military commanders from the frontline. They discussed both the successes and challenges facing the forces, highlighting how the troops are being encouraged by the president’s presence on the battlefield.

The president’s direct engagement ensures that he stays closely informed on the victories, needs, and bravery of the Somali National Army.

The president emphasized the importance of providing full support to the Somali forces to secure victories and achieve the ultimate goal of liberating the country.
