MOGADISHU, Somalia — Somali President Hassan Sheikh on Thursday received credentials from eight new ambassadors who will represent their countries in Somalia.
The ambassadors who presented their credentials include:
Abdirahman Khalil Ahmed from Sudan
Rowaid Adil Mohamed from Palestine
Morakot Janemathukorn from Thailand
Bernard Yohana Kibesse from Tanzania
Ana Filomena da Costa Rocha from Portugal
Martin K. Ngoga from Rwanda
Mahi Boumediene from Algeria
Matsuura Hiroshi from Japan
During the ceremony, President Mohamud underscored the significance of bolstering bilateral ties, focusing on advancing diplomacy, economic development, progress, and security.
The ambassadors expressed gratitude for the hospitable welcome by the Somali government and pledged to work towards enhancing relations between Somalia and their home nations.
