MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, received in his office the Transitional Leader of SSC-Khaatumo Abdiqadir Ahmed Aw-Ali (Firdhiye).
The Prime Minister listened to a report from Leader Firdhiye about the social and life situation in the SSC areas following an 8-month war with Somaliland troops.
He said the Government of Somalia stands for the protection of the unity and solidarity of the Somali nation and that any differences that exist should be resolved through dialogue.
This visit comes shortly after There has been a bloody conflict between SSC and Somaliland in the SSC territories in recent months.
There have been casualties, including deaths and injuries, as a result of the fighting in the SSC areas. Additionally, a large number of civilians were displaced due to the conflict.
