Mogadishu, Somalia – In a significant move to bolster its diplomatic and human rights framework, the Somali Council of Ministers, convened under the leadership of Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre, has approved the appointment of two new ambassadors.
Mr. Abdihakin Mohamed Ahmed (Dhobo-Dareed) and Mr. Yusuf Ahmed Jego have been selected to represent Somalia abroad, enhancing the nation’s international relations.
The council also adopted a groundbreaking National Procedure Policy aimed at enhancing the reporting and monitoring of human rights. This policy underscores Somalia’s commitment to protecting and promoting human rights, setting the stage for improved transparency and accountability in human rights practices across the country.
Furthermore, the meeting delved into the progress of the National Transformation Plan (NTP).
