CAIRO, Egypt – Somalia’s Health Minister Dr Ali Haji Aden chaired the 70th session of the World Health Organization (WHO).
This session will discuss how to carry forward the vision of Health development, in the East and Central, while ensuring the delivery of comprehensive Health throughout the region.
The conference which took place in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, was attended by various leaders from around the world Somalia’s ambassador to Egypt and the permanent representative of the Arab League, Ambassador Ilyas Sheikh Omar.
The Minister of Health said that he is very concerned about the situation in the Palestinian territory and called for an end to the conflict and to protect innocent civilians.
The minister also reported on the progress made in Somalia’s health, as according to him the Somali community has a special importance for quality health services in accordance with the implementation of the system of inclusive health services.
Various important topics will be discussed during the conference, which will conclude on Thursday.
