MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Council of Ministers has approved 10 ambassadors assigned to represent Somalia in foreign countries. The decision was made during a weekly meeting.
The ambassadors will be sent to the countries with which Somalia shares diplomatic relations, but the names of the appointed countries have not yet been announced.
They are the largest number of ambassadors appointed by the government of Somalia at one time since assumed office in 2022.
It comes at a time when Somalia wants to strengthen its relations and close countries, to have the alliance to cooperate in regional and international affairs.
The ambassadors appointed are:
1. Abdaziz Mohamud Mohamed (Farabadane)
2. Abdullahi Mohamed Sheikh Abdullahi
3. Ali Abdi Aware
4. Ali Mohamed Abukar (Ali Wolf)
5. Bashir Hassan Haji
6. Fathudin Ali Mohamed
7. Hussein Abdi Halane
8. Khadija Cosoble Ali
9. Khadra A Duale
10. Ridwan Hirsi Mohamed
