Mogadishu, Somalia – Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Saturday launched a comprehensive justice sector strategy aimed at reforming and expanding legal services for the years 2025-2029, during a ceremony in Mogadishu.
The initiative, introduced in the nation’s capital, seeks to overhaul the judicial system to make it more transparent, effective, and accessible to all citizens.
Barre underscored the government’s dedication to advancing legal frameworks and broadening legal aid to remote and underprivileged areas.
“This initiative is vital for our country’s stability and development,” Barre declared, noting that the strategy would concentrate on legal education, judicial reform, and tackling corruption within the justice system.
The event saw participation from a broad spectrum of attendees, including government dignitaries, international allies, and civil society leaders, all committed to the successful execution of these reforms.
