BAIDOA [SMN] – Southwest leader Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta Gareen appointed a new administration for the Lower Shabelle region, following a decree issued by his office.
Mohamed Abdirahman Nur has been appointed as the new governor of the region, replacing Abdikadir Nur Sidi who has been in office for two years.
Ahmed Omar was named as the Deputy Chief of Security, according to the circular.
Lower Shabelle has been the scene of clashes between Al-Shabaab and SNA troops.
