MOGADISHU [SMN] – The Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee asked FEIT to suspend the results of the HOP067 Lower House seat won by acting spy boss Yasin Farey on Sunday.
The seat was immediately suspended following a complaint lawsuit lodged by Ahmed Abdikarin Ali and Ali Hassan Ali (Ali Jeesto) to Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee.
The commission said it would finalize its investigation into the case within seven days, and the election commission would share its findings.
Prior to this, the Dispute Resolution Committee suspended a seat won by Somalia’s Deputy PM Mahdi Guled that was elected in Mogadishu. The seat represents Somaliland.
