Tunisia Hosts 48th Arab Police Conference Focusing on Cybercrime and Security Strategies

TUNIS, Tunisia — Deputy Police Commissioner Gen. Osman Kanif is among the attendees at the 48th Conference of Arab Police and Security Chiefs, which commenced on Wednesday in Tunisia.

 

This year’s gathering is tackling critical contemporary issues including the surge in electronic financial fraud, the exchange of notable security practices, and a detailed review of recommendations from previous conferences.

The conference agenda prominently features discussions on strategies to combat the growing threat of cyber financial crimes, which have seen an increase across the Arab world. Experts and security officials are sharing insights on recent successful interventions, technological advancements in crime prevention, and the development of cross-border cooperation frameworks.
