The U.S. Africa Command on Saturday handed over Armored Vehicles to the 16th DANAB Brigade of Somali National Army, SNA, known as (Lightning Brigade).
Somali National News Agency reports that the Vehicles will support the operations and the capability of the SNA in their fight against terrorists.
U.S. Africa Command is responsible for military relations with nations & regional organizations in Africa.
This comes just a day after the Somali National Army announced that the Danab special forces foiled an attempted attack on Friday by Al-Shabaab during a sting operation in the Lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia.
