The Minister of Justice for the Somali government held a press conference at the Central Prison to express his outrage at the gunfire exchanged between two national forces.
The Commander of the Custodial corps Force, General Mahad Abdirahman Adan, said the incident was unfortunate and an investigation was underway to find the cause.
Somalia’s Minister of Justice Abdulkadir Mohamed said the government regretted the exchange of fire and apologized to former Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
