MOGADISHU, Somalia – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist bombing that took place in a market in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, which resulted in the death and injury of many innocent people.
H.E. the OIC Secretary-General, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed his strong condemnation of this heinous terrorist act. He offered his condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Somalia, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
The Secretary-General reiterated the OIC’s condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and its support for the efforts of the Somali government to combat terrorism and enhance security and stability in the country.
