MOGADISHU, Somalia – May 4, 2025 – The leader of the SSC-Khaatumo State, Abdulkadir Ahmed Aw-Cali Firdhiye, held a crucial meeting today with Carsten Carlsen, the Deputy Ambassador of Norway to Somalia.
The meeting, which took place in Mogadishu, focused on issues of peacebuilding, political development, stabilization programs, and future cooperation between the two parties.
Following the meeting, Firdhiye emphasized SSC-Khaatumo’s commitment to advancing the development of the regions under its administration, underscoring the importance of strengthening peace and stability in the area.
“SSC-Khaatumo is dedicated to the peacebuilding process and political development in our region. We are hopeful that our cooperation with Norway will support stabilization projects and future political initiatives,” Aw-Cali stated.
In response, Carlsen expressed Norway’s continued support for SSC-Khaatumo’s efforts in peacebuilding and development, pledging that his government would maintain its assistance for regional stabilization and capacity-building programs.
The meeting is part of SSC-Khaatumo’s broader efforts to foster international cooperation and seek sustainable solutions for peace and stability in Somalia.
